BB creams have been in the market for like more than two years already. Well, I don't know if the year I stated was right so let's just say that BB creams have been there ever since all these kpop craze started. I have already tried couple of BB creams (Maybelline BB Cream [dream fresh] and the Garnier BB Cream) and both are just so-so for me.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I was sent a Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream in 010 Light/Pale (P725.00) for review purposes. According to Revlon, the Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream™ Skin Perfector is a lightweight, multi-benefit BB cream that hydrates like a moisturizer, soothes skin like a primer, covers like a foundation, and blurs flaws like a concealer while protecting the skin with Broad Spectrum SPF 30.
The texture of this BB cream is really great as it is creamy but not thick. It can be applied easily using either a brush (stippling brush would work best) or just by your fingers as it's creamy consistency is perfectly blendable. The shade that I got is the Light/Pale which matched perfectly on my skintone.
After trying the product for quite awhile, I must say that coverage wise, this one did a quite a good job of evening out my skintone and blurring out the minor imperfections of my skin. It feels very light in the face and feels almost like a tinted moisturizer and/or a primer but it doesn't work and cover like a foundation as it claims to be. There is no way that this could replace a foundation or a concealer because the coverage it gives is too light. Like, once you start working on applying the product onto your skin you can really notice that it is becoming very sheer, almost invisible.
Overall, I can say that this product is still worth the money. I recommend this product to people with dry/ normal skin as it will last longer on them. As for me, who have an oily skin this BB cream isn't an ideal fit as it's staying power will not last that long (plus, it also made my skin feel a bit greasy afterwards). But even though this one doesn't work as how I expected it to "work" (well, blame my oily skin i guess?), I definitely will still use this BB cream. As I've said earlier this one can be a perfect substitute for your tinted moisturizer and/or primer because of it's light feel so yes, instead of using this alone, I might probably just use it as a primer before applying my favorite loose powder because that's the best way to make the most out of this product.
