Yarn Bomb Squid Tree

California-based Jill Watt of the blog Dapper Toad collaborated with her sister Lorna of Knits For Life recently collaborated to wrap a magnolia tree in downtown San Mateo with more than four miles of blue yarn to make it look like an awesome huge squid. Jill reports that it took 20 hours on a sweater machine to make enough to cover the tree and that it took them 14 hours to install it, in 91°F weather! To know more about how they did this amazing squid tree you may head on their respective blogs Knits for Life and Dapper Toad.
