Created by Swiss artist Romain Crelier, La Mise en Abîme was a visually arresting work of art installed on the floor of the Bellelay Abbey in Switzerland back in 2013. Using recycled motor oils, the chapel's stunning ornate decorations and vaulted ceilings are mirrored on the oil's rich, glassy surface.
