Luxurious living. It’s something that we all like to enjoy. The living room is a place where we spend the majority of our time. So, it makes sense that we merge the two and create a room that feels both comfortable and cozy.
But I didn’t really know how to do it. Sure, you can find luxury apartments for rent and buy luxury houses, but you still need to put your own spin on things. So, I searched the internet for tips and tricks to help turn my living room into the most stylish place in the house.
Heighten The High-Tech Presence
If you want to modernize your home, upping the high-tech gadgetry can do wonders. For those with money to spare, curved LCD TV’s are an example of technology that will instantly scream ‘luxury.’ Or, invest in gadgets that will help to enhance the living room experience, like remote dimmer switches. You don’t want to overpower the room with tech, but use it as a tool of enhancement.
Invest Your Money On A Luxury Sofa
What’s the one thing that nearly every luxury living room has in common? That’s right - a luxury sofa. That old and battered thing you got off eBay eight years ago isn’t going to cut it anymore. If you’re going to spend masses of money on anything, the sofa is your best bet. Consider the style and color palette you’re aiming to target, too.
Fill The Room With Sculptures & Art
Oversized luxury art pieces are a great way of making a statement when someone walks into the room. Also, strategically filling the room with sculptures and other antiques can create a luxury feel, too. You don’t have to spend big money on these features, either. You might find the perfect art item at a local market. You might find the perfect sculpture at a local antique store. Keep an eye out.
Simplify Your Style
It’s tempting to get the paint out and start attacking the room with color. Don’t do that. Put a plan together before you go doing any decorating. The best way to create a sense of luxury is to simplify things. Don’t use harsh colors. Don’t oversaturate your surroundings. You’ll find that many luxury living rooms are filled with nothing but white walls. It’s the complementary features that turn it into a luxury space; not an abundance of colors.
Maximize Your Space
It doesn’t matter whether you’re working on an apartment or a house - this rule applies. You need to maximize the space available to you in order to create a luxury room. This is where getting creative with storage often pays off. Can you invest in a storage system that both adds to the luxury feel and de-clutters your home? The more creative you get with your ability to maximize space; the better it’s going to look when you’re done.
That’s all we can tell you about creating a luxury living room for now. The rest is totally up to you. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
